Dr. Tobin Ansel, OD, M.S., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Ansel’s interest in eye care ignited during high school when he was fitted with overnight ortho-k contact lenses, which effectively halted the progression of his nearsightedness. This transformative experience not only improved his vision but also fueled his passion for optometry. Dr. Ansel’s academic journey began at the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned degrees in both neuroscience and economics.

During his college years, Dr. Ansel suffered an eye injury that exposed him to the invaluable impact of a skilled and compassionate optometrist eye care professional. This personal encounter solidified his determination to embark on a career in optometry, where he could make a significant difference in his patients’ comfort and well-being and he went on to graduate from the State University of New York College of Optometry with a doctorate in optometry and a masters in vision science.
