Dr. Arlene Abreu, O.D. is a proud New Jersey native who was born and raised in Woodbridge. She is a warm, approachable, and detail-oriented optometrist who values building genuine connections with her patients while providing thorough, personalized eye care.
Dr. Abreu’s Experience
Dr. Abreu earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rutgers University–New Brunswick and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas.
Her clinical training included rotations at Omni Eye Services in New Jersey, where she worked alongside optometrists and ophthalmologists managing a wide range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and post-operative cataract care. She also trained at the San Antonio VA, where she provided care for a diverse veteran population with complex visual and systemic needs.

A first-generation Dominican-American, Dr. Abreu is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about serving patients from all backgrounds. She is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Abreu enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
